Anniversary Hike

With linda's new job, she hast to work weekends which means she is going to be working on our anniversary. So I took two days off of work and we went on a small backpacking trip.

White Pine lake is located about 4 miles north of Tony Grove lake which is about 40 minutes up logan canyon. It was a beautiful hike that was listed as moderate but was actually quite easy. The weather was great! It could have been a little cooler but there was a nice breeze that kept us from melting. It was so much cooler than the vally so we were just happy about that.

The lake was beautiful and clear and the cliffs that surrounded it added to the view. Okay, enough talking, on to the pictures.

Me spitting up the filtered water.
Just kidding. it was great. I was actually spitting out the crapy logan water.

Probably one of the first times I've hung a bear bag. Probably didn't need to because there are like two bears in the whole canyon, but with all the bear problems lately we figured its an easy thing to do.

Who says you can't make pancakes with a jetboil? The obviously haven't tried it...

Sure they are small and are really really hard to flip...

But when you forget a pan and a jetboil is all you have, it'll work.

Utah isn't the only place with bear problems lately.

I wonder though, if we got rid of illegal immigrants, would it lower taxes AND lower our bear problems? Hmmm
